New Exhaust

Finally got it on... this thing is in 4 pieces, straight pipe from DP, two 90 degree bends to clear the rear suspension then a piece to the left tip and a piece to the right tip. sounds bad huh?? the stock was worse!

theres a nice burble down low, if i leave it in gear while letting off the gas theres muffled pops and crackles but they're prety much drowned out by the sound of the exhaust. If i had a cat-less DP there would be tons of popping. the stock SRT-4 had twin resonators, no mufflers... this has a single resonator and no muffler. I'll get some audio/video up later tonight.

a little Butt tickler pictures during the install, i was so happy to get the damn tail pipes lined up after 40min of issues that i forgot to finish taking pictures.

When i move up I'll be going with a single side exit exhaust... too may F'n bends in the TBE.

I know that it sits up hi, I'm current looking as some lowering springs to solve that. The issue is the most difference f/r that they offer is .2" so Id have to get coilovers to solve the whole problem.

coilovers are really expensive for a good set for the SRT - 1000-1500$... performance first, looks later.

I haven't dynoed with this turbo - my last trip was a serious disaster which i'm still recovering from - i lost a turbo. Soonest dyno would be this summer after i get a DTEC - i'm in need of a 16-18point fuel computer desperately. I'm running rich as stuff on 650cc/min injectors and 21psi. DTEC, FMIC, DP are my next purchases. with a good tune as is i should be running close to 270-280whp right now conservatively I'd put it at 250-270whp. Many with my set up have seen 260-300whp/300-350wtrq with differences in injectors / fuel settings / psi.

yes someone did put an SRT-4 engine in a minivan. some of the 89 chrysler/dodge minivans can stock with turbos on 2.2L engines... iirc, but here's the SRT minivan. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5b18636...8b10155a05f.htm

i respect you as a person and srt's are nice cars when done up well. but why do u still post in the volvo forum? why not post this question in the srt forum? just kinda funky IMO.

beucase he likes it here. plus hes banned from the other srt forums, he only does poost sometimes, and even if he posted alot, i would of not mind.

well here's the thing if i were to post this on the SRTForums... I'd end up with 20 PMs asking how to allign the tips, 15 responses in the thread all saying the same thing " that sheet is the pimpest " , " mopar ftmfw " , and " SRT4LIFE, no others compare "

You ask the SRT community if something looks / sunds good and unless it's rice 95% of them will just say "yes", granted theres the 5% who are of age, vendors, and intelligent that will give you constructive criticism then the nut huggers follow suit whenever they see the same product they copy and paste what their favorite vendor said.

It's raining here so unless it clears up I won't be getting any video / photos of the exhaust. I'm already soaked from running outside this morning and have no will to go get my car parked 3/4mi away.

I've made a point to not put any of my modifications done to my car inthe performance section unless they could potentially help you guys out. ( i.e. how to's on boost leak test and CBV mod ).

here's two shitty videos of the exhaust. first one is from idle to about 3k each rev and then idle again. second is a slow acceleration - didn't want to floor it because the road was a little busy and frankly i wasn't comfortable holding a camera in one hand, while driving and shift at WOT. i'll get a friend the next time to have the camera under his control.
