Guest Guest_ajf10_*
2001 XC70, 40,000 miles.Wife drove through deep water 1 month ago, killed engine, would start but not drive. Towed to indy shop where MAF sensor, air filter, spark plugs replaced, oil changed twice. Water found in crankcase, no bent rods or piston damage. Car ran fine after fix, changed oil again as per shops recommendation 500 miles later. About 2 weeks later, the message in title showed up, along with warning triangle. Car continues to run fine. All fluid levels fine. Took back to indy shop, battery replaced since it was dying anyway (unrelated I think), no OBD codes were found when scanned. Unable to pull volvo codes, told it is a dealer only thing. Have not gone back to local dealer which is inept and corrupt. Simple fix would be to take to dealer to pull codes, I know. Car continues to run fine. Recently had ETM software update performed. So, what could the problem be? I suspect there is no real problem, maybe a code related to replacing the maf? Should I be concerned? Thanks.
