wheel stud GB banter

Recommended Posts

These can accomodate stock offset and up to 20mm spacers without the need for multiple sets of lug bolts, not to mention the ease of putting wheels on.

Per stud: $7.50 plus shipping each stud

10 orders of 10 studs (1 order = 10 studs): $65.00 plus shipping per set

20 orders of 10 studs (1 order = 10 studs): $65.00 free shipping per set

Studs will be finished in black phosphate to prevent rust, etc.

Here are pics of samples that Ben at Kaplhenke has (not coated)

You can buy the lug nuts separately for pretty cheap, but if everyone who buys the studs is interested in a lug nut group buy, I can have Ben try to set that up.

Stay tuned for information on what lugnuts you'll need since the thread pitch of the studs is different from stock, thus making it easy to find the lugnuts at any local auto parts store, rather than searching everywhere for the Volvo specific ones!

I'll start the list:

1. prasamin - 1 set

2.

why is this a deal? the retail price on these studs are $1.25 each

http://www.tradeunion.com/ToplineProducts/subs/washers.html

or

http://www.cwausa.com/STUDS-2006.html

$7.50 each would be almost 10x's the cost of these things, EACH.

Also you need 20 studs for the cars.

$85 can buy you a carton of 100pcs of studs and another $70 can buy you 100pcs of nuts to go with it.

Those should work fine if you never plan to use wheel spacers, Mine are the correct length for using upto 20mm of spacer. I barely have any markup on them from the manufacturer, believe it or not.

The prices I have are the prices until I can have them made by 5000's I don't see the Volvo Community showing that much interest.

You should have fun playing with your carton of studs that are too short.

this is really cheap compared to buying 4 sets of extended lugs guys....every person in on the FK spacers should buy these no question.

the cheapo ones that some idiot linked to above are not even made for spacers.

we already have 6 sets called for, just need 14 more, which should be easy if everyone orders 2 sets each.

I'll work with Ben to get lugnut pricing too.

well this idiot was wondering why that idiot '2th Aik' would even speak before reading and answering my question. i asked why this was a deal you idiot.

also topline makes extra long studs for the same price, cwa also can make xl studs.

so this idiot is wondering why that idiot '2th Aik' is calling this a deal?

stop posting while you're behind, you'll dig a deeper grave than necessary.

Go get pricing on studs capable of holding 20mm spacers, and then post up why this is not a deal dumbass.

actually, don't post the deal, just order your own, and don't report to us how it goes.

A douche (IPA: [du:ʃ]) is a device used to introduce a stream of water into the body for medical or hygienic reasons, or the stream of water itself. The word comes from the French language, in which its principal meaning is a shower (it is thus a notorious false friend encountered by non-native speakers of English; the phrase for vaginal douching is douche vaginale).

The word can refer to the rinsing of any body cavity but usually applies to vaginal irrigation, rinsing of the vagina. A douche bag is a piece of equipment for douching: a bag for holding the water or fluid used in douching (the term douche bag can also be referred to as '2th Aik' )

The beauty of the "internet" is it allows a person to have a sense of anonymity. A person can be a blue or white collar worker, a professional or a service oriented individual, but on the forums you get a clean slate. you get to be a "newbie" per se. No one knows your background, nothing unless you tell them. most of the time the "veterans/1 mil post count" think they are the experts in everything pertaining to that forum's topic. hence you have many many lurkers/1st time posters/rarely post users, those people would rather not get into a debate. there's more to life than that. then occasionally you'll find guys like me that feel they know a little something about the topic and post a reply questioning why is it so. all to get a "veteran" come down on them like they did the big NO NO and resort to name calling. Oh well, i need to get back to the real world and do something productive with my life.

There is so much that can be said on a screen, but when you actually meet a user in person there's not really much to say. people can portray a bigger than life status on the internet, but in all reality their life is pretty sad from looking at your baby pictures.

Trying to stay on topic, I did contact one of my suppliers to do a run of 40-50mm 12x1.75mm conical stud bolts and or 12x1.75 to 12x1.5 extra long stud bolts. they are out there, aslo nuts are $0,25 to $0.90 each depending on what you need, regular acorn nuts to spline drive closed end nuts to tuner style lugs to open end slpine drive 9point lugs.

what does that mean? they are out there? meaning, they don't have any or are not willing to make any or what?

Ben, how soon can we have a set? I just need one set, but I'd like to have it within a couple of weeks.

I'll give you credit, that was pretty creative, Scott, but fuck, you have way too much time on your hands, and it seems as though you really do care about what people say about you on the internet.....that, in fact, is the sad part in all of this.

Just wondering, but what are the specs on these studs? Do they call for a class 10.9 or 12.9 strength? What length and thread pitch?

If you don't really need studs as strong as that, McMaster-Carr has some class 8.8 M12x1.75 studs between 45-175mm in standard threads and 40-60mm long in self-locking threads. Prices range between $1 and ~$4. Not sure if any of them are actually quite what you would need, but I thought I'd throw that out there...

http://www.mcmaster.com/ Go to: Fastening and Sealing > Threaded Studs > Threaded Rods and Studs > Unequal Thread Length Studs > Metric > etc...
