Current Pictures Of My Camaro

I'm trying to make this car look like a V6.

 With those tires on the back?

I know tires don't tell the whole story, but that is an easily spotted - first clue.

I love Camaros. My first one was a 77 Type LT

2nd was a 76

3rd was an 84 Z28 H.O.

4th was a 93 plain jane.

I honestly didn't buy a 67 model, because I knew I'd spend every dime I could make on it.

nice car. i always loved my LT-1, loved the LS-1s i've driven too. I'd think you'd be low 12s to high 11s w/o nitrous and definitely in the 11s with nitrous. good set up. i always loved the sound of an aggressive LS cam at idle.

take a second off of that and youre probably right

Love the car! To me, factory camaro's look a bit boring, but they REALLY clean up with the right set of rims on them. Very nice!

And sorry chief, but your car screams V8.

The wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust IIs. The reason I bought them was that in the "affordable" rim category, the only two types of wheels offered in 17"x11" are these and the ZR1s, which I don't really care for.

I bought six wheels. Four of them are 17"x9.5", and I have 275/50/17 street tires on them. Two wheels are 17"x11" and I have 315/35/17 BFG drag radials on them. The 315s hook pretty well, but have a tread wear rating of 0.

The newer mustangs have a similar wheel on them, but originally this style was from a Camaro.

The "Torquer v.3" camshaft that I put in is really too big for the street, but I've got a really good tune that makes it almost comfortable. Cam specifications 231/234 649/599 111lsa 649 intake lift! Seriously? The Patriot Dual Gold springs max out at 650 heh. Guess I'll replace them often.

Yea, I'd say thats a little much for the street - mine had a comp cams 280 magnum in a 327, and that was too big.

It is one thing when the engine lopes, but when the steering wheel lopes with it, and the brake pedal starts easing down at redlights as you loose vacuum...... - oh and lets not forget the stall converter you need, that will send any gas mileage you might have had, out the window.

It's not all THAT bad. I had it tuned by a pro, who data logged it as he daily drove it for a week, under all types of driving conditions. The car is a 6 speed manual, so I don't have to worry about a stall. I've got poly motor mounts, so the shaking doesn't come through the steering wheel as much as it would compared to solid mounts.

I don't really care about gas mileage, as this car is supposed to be a toy/weekend car. I did use it as a daily driver while I was finishing the Volvo. It still gets about 20 mpg if I drive conservatively.

Nothing video, just seems like a waste in a "muscle car". I've got a Pioneer MP3 player, some 6.5 Pioneer components, and some 6.5" Pioneer 3 way speakers. There is a small Memphis amp/sub in the back.

 I think he was referring to a sound or audio clip of your car with the cam.

I'm an idiot. Reading comprehention FTL.

Okay, I made a quick video. Idle, 3000 rpm, 6800 rpm, idle.

I'm hosting it at photobucket, so it may not last a long time.

I'm also uploading it at a painfully slow rate.
