BlackBeast
Been reading the QBM Endlink threads with interest regarding the heim joints wearing prematurely. Why do they wear out after 7-8months?If its due to weather/salt/mud etc, we have plenty of that on our UK roads (especially salt), which makes me concerned about fitting them (Xtreme endlinks).Im thinking of fitting a rubber dust boot over the rod end to protect them from the elements. SkyWriter
Been reading the QBM Endlink threads with interest regarding the heim joints wearing prematurely.indeed, and without any mention as to which VERSION they are. QBM has had many versions. if you want to talk about wear, talk about the latest version. in which case, i've had them for a year and had NO problem. BlackBeast
Yeah, as i said ive got the Xtreme endlinks, which are the latest version. As pras has said, dont think it will do any harm, so il measure the rod ends up and get some boots ordered. Total cost will be about £12.

mAydAy
Non-sealed Heim's will fail under all of the road debris/dust over time. That said, I have a set of his very very first version, from the prototype run, and they're still holding up fine, although they've only had about 5000 miles of use since then.
