volvos60t5x
hi there everyone, well after 5 electronic turbo valves(i think thats the correct name) im so tired to see my boost gauge in 6 psi. As some members know my car after some hard accelerations the boost drop to 6 psi and will never be the same (22 psi) if i dont change the valve for a new one and resett the computer. Someone told me that i can leave the valve connected and install a manual boos controller on the hoses. Any ideas?

Che'_Moderator
The car will detect it even if he sets it at the max boost that the chip will allow? Its not just about where its going, its about how it got there. You need to find out whats wrong or who screwed up what. Who programed your ECU?
Ihatespeedbumps
I think it is essential to know who did your tune? Any issues before the upgrade? I know the TCV is groundside switched through the ecu, so maybe something was damaged in the ecu when it was upgraded?
Johann
Read the sig, it's BSR.And from past posts I recall the spike were there all along. Check all the hoses. When finished check them all again. Put clamps on them if in doubt.Check the wastegate actuator if it is mounted properly.
JHEIII874T5M
His car is not 4.3 BoschYeah, I know, but who am I to deny him the opportunity of finding out if something works or not on his particular car with his particular tune. Speaking of tune... I'd say the original poster has to talk to his tuning company and see why it's eating the stock boost controller, have they had this issue on any other cars? Thanks for pointing it out Does the the new TCV valve crap out the first time you try to go into full boost or does it gradually die? I've put lots of TCV valves on cars, but never 5 on the same one. That is madness!

That is madness!its weird....the car run fine for 1 week for example and then the psi drop to 6, if i reset the ecu with my ppc it work again the car another few days. Thats why im trying to see if is possible to keep the tcv connected on the car and put a mbc on the houses. I think is the TCV cause everything on the car seems to be fine. Im so sad to have all this setup on my car and just enjoy a couple of days a week.

Texas850Turbo
Hoses- if you want to do a thorough job, I'd take em all off, inspect carefully for any cracks that could be opening up under boost, and make sure they're installed back on correctly with a nice set of clamps. Wastegate actuator-? someone else take this one...

So before put the boost controller is better to check the hoses right?.
