I chose to replace the bushings as opposed to the entire control arm because both are available and replacing just the bushings saves you $85-$150 per side depending on the source. However- It is impossible to replace the bushings!I have replaced suspension bushings in several cars ansd so have experience but the design of the control arm does not allow for successful bushing replacement. The forward bushing on each side has a thin metal shell which collapses on insertion (even after freezing it for several days to contract it) and this bushing must be precisely located (depthwise) in the control arm in order to be bolted in.
