wills Posted August 11, 2004 Report Share Posted August 11, 2004 When I added the IPD program, exhaust and panel filter, I felt the same as Joe Yes an inprovement but not outstanding. So after adding dual stage MBC, water injection and iridium plugs the boost is strong from 1st and consistent. I also like the fact I can run a low boost or high at the flick of a switch. I don't feel like spending thousands upon thousands of dollars to make the wagon run like a 911, so I will just run the Vmax when I want to see 60 in 3 seconds. Posted August 16, 2004 Report Share Posted August 16, 2004 I do find it funny that for some reason, although you were not at either of the competitions in question, and probably have never, yourself, had any similar experiences, you still maintain that some figure from some magazine you have on your crapper, which by the way, is guaranteed to differ from every other magazine's figure for a given car, is telling the truth and that I'm not. It seems to me that any sort of time-related figure for any car will differ depending on the magazine/test driver, and yet, Joe, you seem to remember the fastest times you can remember reading about for your S500 and the slowest time you've found for your Volvo. What's more, you transfer your view of your own car onto everyone else's here... Even though you, believe it or not, don't own everyone else's car, nor can you accept that others might have faster ones than yours... Well, it is possible. Maybe I can just drive my car better than you can drive yours. Regardless, I have raced and won against two different E36 M3s, and yes, both drivers were aware that we were racing, and in fact, initiated the sessions in question. I was there. You weren't. I have an 850R automatic, you have a C70 with, I should hope, a manual. Different cars. Different drivers. I'm sorry that you for some reason can't accept others' experiences as truth, but choose to believe a figure from a magazine, or the manufacturer of the car itself, or some other random figure. Please sober up and post again (well...don't), because I couldn't find the point you were trying to make in your 400+ word prattle if my life depended on it. $24K sure seems like a lot to a kid on a $7.25/hr salary, but the car is pristine. The clock is still south of 20K, and it still smells brand new. But last time I checked, there wasn't a "For Sale" sign on the window. If someone came up to me on the street and offered me $24K, though, it will be sold. That covers the price I paid for the car, the money I've wasted on it, and the bottles of Tylenol from having to deal with you guys...and then some. turbobrick Posted August 17, 2004 Report Share Posted August 17, 2004 who cares what he has and what he doesn't have... why is everyone getting so pissed off, if you feel differently about your car front up some slips to prove that its fast.. not all cars are created equal, but one thing i've found out on this particular tuning community is the majority of people are uninformed when it comes to modifying your car. this is his post about how he feels after he spent all kinds of cash on his PPC unit. he could stuff on his car for all i care, its his car he can do what he wants with it.. he obviously respects it to some level of degree as he still has it.as for a terror on the streets, it just depends how far you plan on taking the car but thats with any car.. this is my daily driver, i want to have some fun with it.. it doesn't need to run 11's or 12's even... but maybe just maybe i can squeeze some high 13's out of her with some tricks ?nice gains, but i never liked the c70's B) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
