incenseandpeppermints67
does the factory HU for my 850 have aux inputs? I don't recall seeing them last time I had it out and I figured it would be easier to just ask here than to take it out again... if it doesn't, do they make a splitter so I can turn the one FM input into two? incenseandpeppermints67
would there be any conflict between the two devices I have plugged into the FM spot, then?
paulr
I thought they made RCA -> CD changer adapters (as well as IPOD -> cd changer)? Probably not a good idea to spend $$$ on as they likely cost more than an entry-level Head Unit, but don't they exist? Also, removing the stock HU is perhaps one of the easiest processes in these cars ever... push in on the tabs with your car key, pull out. Takes about 20 seconds. If you don't have the time for that....Re: a "FM splitter" I have no clue I'll leave that for others.

If you try to push two different signals down the wire it's not going to be a situation I would call ideal. You need to isolate your sources. You can use a switching system that only allows one device to use the line at a time or, in the case of most antenna splitters, you tune your radio to an unused freq. and modulate your source on that freq. In a sense, this acts like a switch. If you're running a source into a modulator then into the line, that's obviously just as good.
