sion
Hello allAfter a myriad of to-ing & fro-ing between Volvo dealers & other parts suppliers, I am told the hose I need to replace which is pictured doesn't seem to exist!Volvo here in Oz say it's a non-genuine IAC with a non-genuine upper hose fitted. What the? The listed replacement hose on VADIS is approx 4 times the length & has an extra bend in it. I have this exact set-up on both my 850's (MY 95 & 96) including the pic attached of a '99 C70 with the very same hose fitted. Can anyone enlighten me on this puzzling issue? RedTurbo850
I just checked my car, and I don't have that hose. And it's pretty crowded from the IAC cover to the radiator. The piping takes up quite a bit of space, and there is pretty much no way that whatever piping you have circled there would fit in my car, or at least it would fit so easily.Maybe it's a US/Euro or Australia thing? It's different in the two countries?

AU850T
I had the same situation. Ordered the hose from the dealer and it looked way too long. Dealer ordered another and it came in the same. They finally got a tech to look at it and he said I had to cut the hose to fit. Brought it home and took the old one off, lined it up and cut it off. Fit fine and has worked fine for 2 years now. It appears the original spec hose has been superseded & replaced by the longer hose, unless anyone else can prove otherwise?I cut & shut the longer hose when I replaced the original short hose & it was a less than ideal fit which caused it to split at the vac tree. I'd prefer to put a generic reinforced hose on, but the differing diameters make this pretty tough.
