DARKSIDE Posted May 28, 2007 Report Share Posted May 28, 2007 Just trying to find out if anyone else has had to change as much axles as me...I changed both front a year ago, when I heard the grinding noise...replaced them with the ones from FCP...Driver Side completely broke on me about 3 months ago...replaced with a rebuilt axle from local axle shop...Now yesterday, I come out my driveway, and give it a little gas...tragedy stikes again...Why the hell would my axles be f*#kin' up like this...btw...the car has on the stock wheels so rims would not be the issue... When I went with EMPI, problem was solved so yah, it does matter where you get your rebuilt axles. Of course raxle.com is one of the ones that people unanimously recommend. I've learned the hard way, it is worth the extra $$ ... even though autoparts store will refund you for defective axle, ... who pays for the labor to take it off? We do.
