PyROTech
what you looking for in the tire? wet, dry, snow, ice, wear, performance, speed rating...
NZOLIVER
B) Howdy! I have never had a poroblem with Scorpions especially the latest model. Real grippy in mud and snow and good on our roads made out of the the old tar and chip. 40000km is good life.
Guest 850T-5
I'm not sure what kind of tire you are really looking for but maybe check out Continental ProContact or Extreme Contact tires. I know they grip, perform and last pretty well, also fairly inexpensive compared to others.
Chilled man
Just a basic every day tire , with at least 30,000 out of them. No off roading or anthing like that just a basic all season that isnt so noisey And you know I heard the same thing at the dealer regarding the new scorpians that there much nicer then the originals wich are noisey as heck lol
orbit2400
I faced the same dilemma with my '01 XC. The Scorpions just dont perform well in the wet. Called Tirerack.com and they advised to mount an "oversized" tire to gain access to additional brands and models than the stock size offers. Tirerack will advise as to the proper oversize. The best-rated tire in an oversize model is Goodrich Traction T/A. They won't interfere with brakes or other components and the handling is far superior to the Scorpions. I got 40k on my first set and expect the same on the current ones.
