JHEIII874T5M
This is how I figured the HP HP CalculatorAny idea what boost that tune is set for and what AFR's people are seeing????Gotcha, yeah, that HP Calculator is the optomist's haven. The IPD Stage 3 boost is set to peak around 17-18 PSI and AFR's were in the 12's... but when one looks at the timing logs, it can tend to resemble busch gardens. Last time we touched this topic, IPD hopped onto VS and discussed the findings... deja vu isn't as much fun the 2nd time around.
POOKDIZZLE
How do you figure 103 trap is 300WHP? My 850 made 270whp on a Dynapack and was trapping 104. My S70 with the 18's on (on one of its first setups) made 275whp on a Dynojet in SAE mode and was trapping 103.Wagons weigh about 150 pounds more than a sedan plus the stereo in the wagon, so I was figuring on 300+lbs plus another 40 lbs for the wheel and tire set-up should be 285-300whp if I'm not entirely off; which is possible Gotcha, yeah, that HP Calculator is the optomist's haven. I wonder what would happen if IPD said, "well our stage 3 upgrade makes anywhere from an 80 - 100hp gain". Hello skepticism. Man, Mike, thanks for helping make time fly by in this class. :)

Well you have to figure driver weight too, You weighed like 84 pounds a few years ago didn't You Not to get anymore off topic but has the S70 project started yet? Project S70 is paused until I get back into the states, ordering the gaskets, rods, fuel, turbo, clutch/fw/pp, and intercooler setup... but it's tough to order pistons without knowing cylinder wear and Wiseco claims to be 8 weeks out on them. :(
NW T5R
The numbers on that magical NWC dyno day seamed to have been about 30% high. There was another run on the same dyno not that long ago that put things into perspective of which I believe Bert had the highest numbers on a 16T and 3"dp.

Strangely enough all of them are happy with their new tune. Fact is also, that not much people here in europe know more about Volvo tuning than Marco Alsterfalk. Everyone i know was delighted with the work done by him to their cars. I always said and keep saying that you have to drive different softwares before you can tell if something is good or bad. If Rica is the best you can get in the states you should try SCT or BSR someday... many people would be surprised what their motors can do Sam

Various hypotheses arose as to why the engines suffered catastrophic failure... including that of the Stage 3 tune supplied by IPD requiring water injection (Aquamist), something that IPD did not specify nor communicate as being required when asked. Reasoning behind this particular hypothesis was that of the cars with reported engine failure, not one had an Aquamist/water injection system installed. However, when discussing these failures with other customers that reported their kit still working well, the couple of customers with their engines still in good condition had Aquamist. Another concern was that of the way the Stage 3 kit's programming would react in 90*+F temperatures, as the customers who suffered failures seem to have noticed a feeling of the car hesitating (possible timing pull) in hot weather (i.e. 90*+F).As stated earlier, these are all "hypotheses", opinions, and would like to clearly classify them as such... as I'd rather not get into the whole debate with IPD again. ;)
