MeanGreenSwedeMachine
I've been running without my turbo heat shield for awhile, is any harm going to come from doing this? Also, my car didn't have that insulation stuff under the hood or on the firewall. Any problems with that? Thanks.

Thanks.well your paint isnt going to last as long on the area above it. i dont know so much about the firewall. i think it also deflects heat away from the intercooler piping. so basically probably less mpg and paint peeling....nothing too bad ;)

MeanGreenSwedeMachine
Well if your 18t doesn't produce enough heat to do any damage, my 15g should be ok.Thanks.

theForgottenone
Keeping the H/S on will help turbo spool faster and lower engine temperature.
Ronny
The material fastened to the inside of the hood is for sound deadening and acts as a fire blanket. The fasteners will melt and the blanket drops on the engine to hopefully snuff out a fire. It has no purpose as a heat shield.
