echristodo
So I have been trying to find tickets for a couples of trips and the rates seem drastically higher than last year. I know fuel costs are driving things up but where are you guys getting your tickets from? I typically use airgorilla.com (they stomp out the competition), kayak.com, or orbitz.com, but they all want to rape me.

JHEIII874T5M
I've always found my travel agent seems to get the best deals... unless it's ultra last minute, then southwest or jetblue and just fly out the next day. Most of my experience lies in international flights, though, so can't help you too much if you're talking with the states.
wmartinlsmith
i dont know if they service the areas you are looking to go., but spirit airlines, has some of the least expensive rates around... my parents just flew from nj to fl round trip for 80$. total.... 2 people.... also you are better going directly to the carrier than a 2nd site like you are.... just my .02c

The Big Tuna
i guess it depends on where your flying, but i have had much better luck just booking them staright through alaska, of course you have to check their site every six hours or so because of the price changing but if your patient then it should work for ya, the last couple that i have booked to hawaii, san fran, and san diego have been way cheaper than any of the cheap ticket sites....IMHOspencewhere ya flyin evan? echristodo
QUOTE(Plan_B @ Jun 12 2007, 03:31 PM) ←MMmmmm....I'd be more gentle you still have a hotel discount? They didn't even use lube!!!!?????I lost my hotel discount when I left the Fairmont unfortunately. Actually, I still had access for about 2-3 months until they canceled me, which allowed for one last trip to whistler :P

matt b
American Express travel. Not sure that you have to have an account with them, rates are similar to Travel-O-Shitty, without the headaches of being bumped off the same flight twice...
