crazykn
Owning your own scanner is probably more cost effective later, as you can diagnose your own problems and solve them on your own... at least thats how I see it. I also made sure the one I bought (PC-based) was universal so that I can do other cars for other people and charge them to make some extra $$$. dhayes5
I got the ScanGuage II online:http://www.scangauge.comIt works great! Easy to use and also functions as a trip computer. I have a '98 S70. It comes with the only cable you need and easy to use instructions.None of the stores near me (Autozone, PepBoys etc) will scan for free I don't know where those people live. They all charge at least $50 for a scan. The Scanguage was worth it for me, diagnosed my bad thermostat which I replaced myself - cost of Scanguage and thermostat was less than garage would have charged for the job, and took about an hour. Will the Scan Guage II reset the Oil Change or Service Required Light?
