blown_volvo850r
Well, I tinted the white sections (and all the charcoal trim so it looks black and matches my bumper trim)...went great until I used the wrong clearcoat and it made them look foggy (turned out to be a matte/satin finish). So I'm in the process of completely sanding them down and redoing them. The 3rd brake light is getting tinted to look black (and I'll tint the charcoal section of the spoiler to look black as well), but I can't decide if I wanna leave the reds the way they are, darken them a bit, or black them out. The white sections are getting tinted regardless.

blown_volvo850r
No and no...white tails on a red/black car do not look good. They look completely out of place. I am not worried about the brake lights not showing through at night. I'm worried about them showing through during the day if I darken them a lot. I could put LEDs in them but I refuse to see the "light out" indicator on my dash every time I hit the brakes. I don't think a dark red would look good...I should probably either leave them bright red or black them out. Ugh...I mean I can always sand them down again but I'm sick and tired of sanding.edit: I guess I could just do the 3rd brake light and darken it as far as I want, then see how the light comes through in daylight. Chilled man
if you do LEDS you need to put in the load equilizers there abou t$5.00 a peice thats what I did for both cars for the turnsignals

I think I'm just gonna do the white sections again.

blown_volvo850r
You think you could do one more p-shop? I'm smoking the 3rd brake light to be black, smoking the charcoal part on the spoiler to be black, and smoking the charcoal trim around the taillights and trunk lid to be black. So maybe the rear turns/back ups should be a little darker to match up with that?
