Noahkk19
Make sure when you have one, they do things right. This can go in relation with NateB's thread a while ago. Last night another coolant hose on my car busts, the car's ten years old so I can attribute things to that, BUT when the car is lifted, it's obvious the bolts for the hose clamps are on backwards making a simple 20 minute job a multiple hour job as I'm trying desperately hard to saw off the poking bolts. haha, and on top of that now I notice a bolt from my transmission is missing . What pisses me off is that so many little things could be the reason for a lot of my car's problems. . Is my car supposed to be missing a bolt into the transmission? NO.On another note, other things done unproperly that have been cleared up is that a lot of the things holding certain wires in place have been broken off by mechanics in the past, leaving wires dangling and in awkward places which I'm sure causes a bit of my electronical grimlins. Just goes to show, with mechanics ya just never know....
BeachRat
I hear that. A friend's van was taken in for a routine service checkup. Nothing wrong, just a "let's check it before we drive it 400 miles to San Diego" thing. They forgot to re-connect a radiator hose and his whole family was stuck up in the Sierra Nevada for about 2 hours in July. Not even 20 minutes and they got a nice start to a vacation there!
