I am doing mine this weekend (PCV) I am starting at 6am and hopefully finishing by noon or 2pm. I do not have a turbo so mine is easier.

I am taking the fan SHROUD out to get to the bolts easiser.

That's a good call on the fan shroud. I think I may try to polish my manifold while it's off. I heard it's a PITA but it's very cheap. It may take awhile, but it's practically free.

Yea i would do it myself, but timing belt is very critical and easy to screw up B)

? 2hrs top , and IPD sells that little holder thing to hold the cams in the right place so its all but impossilbe to screw up

to do all that a long saturday afternoon with a case of beer :)

I did all that but the turbo when this happend :(

tensioner pulley on the S belt went at 55,000 miles change that with both belts and both tensionrs and both idiol pulleys in 5hrs

Yea, I agree with Chilled Man. I remember you posting those pictures, too on one of my posts, actually, when I was having problems with the timing belt. EVERYTHING (2 belts, tensioners, pulleys, water pump, don't forget the gasket) should take 5-8 hours (depending on skill level or slowing down to double check), as long as you have the right tools. My post was misleading... it took me 3 days because day 1, I had no impact gun, day 2, I stripped the screw on the tensioner pulley.. worked on it all day, then eventually with 10 minutes and a dremel I had it off

Day 3 was very short.. and involved me just putting everything back on. Just make sure you have all the tools you'll need at once, and you can save the coolant for later if it's pretty new/worth saving
