Sumitomo Hrt+ Vs. Fuzion Hri

Recommended Posts

Looking at putting some new shoes on the Volans and was wondering if anyone had any experience or knowledge of these 2 tires. I'm looking to buy decent tires for under $100.00 a piece because I'm shopping for 18's as we speak and might be unloading the Volans, but they need new tires immediately.

Both the Sumitomo and the Fuzion are inexpensive all-season hi-performance tires, but both get good reviews from differnet car mags and such and seem leaps above the Wanlis and Nankangs. But whatever thoughts ya got........put 'em out there!!!!!

Try and keep the $100-200 a piece tire recommendations to a minimum as I already know what's out there in that price range.

I like my Fuzions. Handle great in wet and snow and are pretty sticky too. Maybe a little louder than my Proxies 4's but I can't complain. Treadlife seems to be lasting much longer that my Proxes 4's as well.

You can get a set of 4 shipped for under 280. Cheapest I found was at www.highperformancetire.com

they are the biggest POS tire ever know to human kind I went through a full set in two months before I got a set of tires that would blow out or just go flat for no reason

I will never ever buy those tires ever again

The BFGoodrichs kick ass and thats what I have on my volans now

i buy sumitomo hrt's but now the hrt-z which are V rated, for everyone i know and all my cars. i get them wholesale for under $50 a peice. quiet tires, handle very well for what they are, but still only all season tires. awesome for cheap performance tires, but absolutely not a high performance tire that everyone in that class claims to be. they're quiet and quick to respond when traffic gets dodgy. i can't break em loose too often in the dry unless im brake boosting hard and even then they catch damn well after i light them up. in the rain ill spin them as soon as boost kicks in but with the htr-z's they dispell water very quickly and won't hydroplane no matter how hard im spinning. the regular htr's have hydroplanned on me at speed and large puddles on the sides. i recommend them as a cheap alternative to kick jerk tires.

o the new line of federal tires are bad jerk as well and damn cheap, they don't wholesale them at my dealer so thats the only reason i don't buy them.

Thanks justin, you sold me those you :monkey:

I have them, they arent that bad, kinda noisy on the road with the windows down while turning and such, but otherwise they are good in the rain, and they have been fine for me.
