USMC850T
So today i went and checked out a pair of formula cars, this is the one I'm buying. It's a red devil chassis formula 440 along with all the suspension, steering, bodywork, motor mounting, 2 sets of wheels and 2 sets of slicks. All i need is a motor and drive train, which I am sourcing from a F440 racing friend who is jumping to F500. From him I'm getting 3 kawi 440 motors, a $500 set of aaen pipes, jackshaft, and a box full of clutches and secondaries. I'm pretty pumped, the car is being delivered sometime this weekend and I should be going to pick up my motors sometime next week. This car did really well in nationals during 01 and 02, and it's been clocked in the slalom at 95mhp Other good news: got my 21 mph over speeding ticket reduced to a parking ticket. :P

Denovae
dude that looks like it'll be tons of fun when done. is it the stocker 440 w/ like 40-50hp? or a high output version? Personally I think a toyota 1.8 would be a nice small engine for a car like that, probably a little too heavy though.
USMC850T
One of the motors is built and pushes around 80-90, spinning a bit over 12k. The race weight of the car + driver is only 750lbs, so no 1.8L - too many other options which would be much lighter. One side of the front suspension mocked up.You can kinda see, a rocker from the A arm is tie-rodded to the bell crank which attaches to the damper.Anyone know a good place to find heim joints? There will be a few degrees negative camber when its ready. The heim joints thread right into the A arms on the bottom and top - thats how you set the camber.
