Vitor
I finally got an AWD tranny for my 99 V70XC.I'm replacing the rear main seal and the bolts that hold the flex plate to the crank must be sealed.VADIS mentions a caution "... There is a risk that excess locking fluid on the screws will come between the mating surfaces".What type of locking fluid Volvo uses? Locktite? What have you used in the past? The residue from the previous "locking fluid" looks beige.

They call it thread sealant IIRC.
MrWinkey
Vitor...I always purchase new bolts from Volvo......Honestly I have put some older cars(94/95) back together and added liquid teflon to the threads generously(just like the old chevy head bolts) The main reason is not for the loctite but for the seal. If the bolts have no sealer on them they will leak oil. ;)
