PsychoBeano
A couple of months ago I bought a new Alpine unit for the car. About two weeks ago all the speakers started acting weird. They all distort when I turn the volume up. When I move the balance up all the way to one side they dont distort as much when they are turned up but as soon as it balances out there they go again. Also my subs dont seem to hit as hard as they used to. Could it be that the amp on the headunit blew out every single one of the stock speakers on my car? Could this have something to do with the wiring? I didnt have a stock wiring harness so I had to just use quick connects to connect the stock wires to the aftermarket wiring harness. What about the subs? The amp is getting power and it does put out 90w RMS (the speakers are rated for 125 RMS) but they definitely dont hit as hard as they used to (before the distortion problem). Any help? Thanks
PsychoBeano
A little development on the case: Installed another Amp it everything is working good for now (audio wise). However, I noticed that my keyfob has become unprogrammed and the car beeps like the door is open even when it is on. Anything I should check? Im kind of stumped.
