DARKSIDE
Anyone on here use Race Gas....C-16, 110, etc.If you are, what ECU are you running, and is it tuned for it?
JHEIII874T5M
Yup, I have used it in the past, no real point unless you are seeing pre-ignition.

grnmachine02
what'd u mean by pre-ignition?detonation/pinging, The fuel is igniting before the spark plug can ignite it. Not good. Torco makes Mach 104 unleaded race fuel.
mAydAy
Leaded gas is a little hard on oxygen sensors and catalytic converters also...I have used GT100 many times in several of my 850's.
Che'_Moderator
Excess octane results in less mileage and HP but whatever
hawks25
I've used GT100 with my base mapped RICA and have gained 3-4 mph in the 1/4 consistently. Boost goes from 17 (ish) to 19 psi in 3rd gear.I have no idea if it's pinging cause I don't have a reader yet (don't roll your eyes, Joe ), but if I'm pinging, then just about everyone else that is running an 17-18 psi base chip/MBC is too. thelostartof
Excess octane results in less mileage and HP but whateverUnless you have a crappy rwd car like myself that gets better mpg on higher oct gas But then again for whatever reason there are a few engines out there that make more power on 87 than on the race gas they run at the track

Hellas850 T-5
You mean that 95 octanes gas performs better to our cars than the 100?I've never seen a difference to the performance by using 100 octanes instead of 95.I just use it because of the better quality. But as I'have seen in past topics you and we here don't have the same types of gas. Patrickw
DONT do this.. i burned out both O2 sensors in like 3 days with this idea :D

Around here 100 is unleaded and in some spots you can find 110 unleaded, but for the most part, anything over 100 is leaded. Which is bad for O2 sensors as you found out. :P

High compression needs octane more than anything else. You can obviously fatten the A/F to do the same thing but I thought we were talking about performance here not backwoods 101 engine theory.
