Update?

Hi Mike, I sent you an email tonight. I need a real address for you to use with UPS, not a PO Box.

Everyone else that has ordered, check the order status of your google checkout, you will have a UPS tracking number. The packages are all getting dropped off tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, all the labels were supposed to be here on Thursday, but they finally came today, so all of the boxes are sitting at the front door.

I have 1 set left in stock. I ordered a bunch more today, but I am going on vacation at the end of the week, so aside from the 1 set in stock, I will have a bunch more in stock mid-August.

Thanks everyone,

Tom

  • 2 weeks later...

A number of people have asked about adjustment of these and I'll just post here again so everyone can see.

I would start with the endlink at the stock OEM length and then go about 1/4-1/2" total longer to reduce understeer, increasing the oversteer. If you want to go longer than 1/2", do so at your own risk.

Tom

p.s. I have a big shipment of these that just came in, so I'll have a bunch more available again soon.

If I may add,

Front Suspension Setup: IPD version 5 Anti-Swaybars (front and rear) for 1998 C70 with Weitec C70 Cup Kit, and OEM Strut Brace.

Stock Endlinks are terrible. (everyone knows already)

I bought QBM Version 1 Endlinks...and upgraded to Version 2. = Satisfied for a year or so.. and then ran into some play

From QBM Version 2 Endlinks, I now put in these, i'd call them 1080p HD Endlinks :P (Since Ipd has wimpy HD Enlinks)hahaha

The Ball joint heads on these endlinks are simply massive!

My review: Definitely works better than the QBM (Version 2) endlinks did for me, on many levels.

1. Installation is 5 times easier!

2. Front end feels stronger, but softer at the same time (Steering Response +, Reduced Understeer feeling)

3. Quieter going over bumps (Where as QBM Endlinks had more of a hard klunk, these have a softer thud)

The only thing I have not been able to test is the longevity of these.

Also, the installation of these, this weird groaning noise that I was getting when turning right dissapeared. Maybe I had overtightened my previous endlinks when I was trying to get rid of the klunking...

DISCLAIMER: I have not tried the QBM Extreme version, and have been informed by Slater that the parts are completely different, and improvements have been made all around. (ie. Larger head, bigger bolts, better parts...which can also be seen on the QBM website.) Note: Also, my QBM v2 heads are smaller than the stock endlink head.. the Extreme ones dont look as small.

Now: Comparison Pictures

so when I get these I should adjust them to the stock/OEM length.... and then see how that feels...

I have some questions

1 - Will having these on hurt my sway bar bushings?

2 - If i was to adjust these would i want to make them longer or shorter?

3 - I have stock suspension with an OMP strut brace.... will I notice a difference?

1 - As long as you don't lengthen them a huge amount I don't think you'll have any problems. The bushings already move a pretty good amount as is.

2. depends on how you want the car to feel. You might like it at the same length as the stock length.

longer=more oversteer

shorter=more understeer

3. You will notice the difference. :) the IPD sway bar upgrade makes a huge difference in these cars as well though I must say

thanks a lot for the review! I am not trashing QBM's product at all, but I had the Extreme endlinks and they developed the same problems. However, I think the boots that they have now will help. They are just $$$$.
