pro_star
Here's me being a legal wench. GO BACK NOW TAKE PICTURES OF THE HOLE AND LACK OF WARNING document the damage done to your car (pics of the shredded tires/damaged rims) and contact a lawyer who works on contingency. The city and contstruction company were negligent, and as such have at least partial liability. Take pictures if you can, and if you can't do that, contact them TOMORROW MORNING and tell them what happened. Sometimes cities will just pay you to avoid the hassle of a lawsuit. D1DeMar
that is how one of my rims look, the other is just bent..... i filed a report with the Piggies, and there are like 5 other people its happened to (three being SUV's) i found them threw a guy who own's a quicky mart right next to it, happened to his car also, im going to try and get everyone together and go after the city, all it would have taken was a freakin cone to stop this, o well Falkens are on the way post pics tomaro and ill send pics of the pot hole,
B00STWAG1N
u might be better off just getting used wheels from erie vovo, it maybe be easier and cheaper than getting them fixed."turns out that the city of Melbourne was doing construction there and forgot to put up cone"if u know that then pretty much case closed. they'll be able to take care of it if properly documented. pro_star
DO NOT wait on this.I know some cities have strange limitations on how long you have to file a claim. If it has already been a week, go talk to a lawyer NOW.I know Calgary has a 15 day limitation period on lawsuits filed against it. Which is funny, cause normally it's two years for a litigation suit. matt b
City will pay for it, either directly or through their insurance. There are some funky policies available for stuff like that.Document and file, you probably don't need a lawyer, their expense should not exceed $500 (2 rims, alignment, 2 tires and labor) but you should act quickly or they'll have the pothole fixed.
