Noahkk19 Posted July 21, 2007 Report Share Posted July 21, 2007 Late last night around 2 in the morning made a left onto a 2 lane barracaded street with a few long bends im pretty familiar with, and I notice a Corrado and Jetta lined up at the intersection to my right, their light turns green right after mine and as they come around the first bend the Corrado is deffinitely driving spiritedly in the left lane (me in the right driving like grandpa). I give my car about half pedal to let the Corrado know I'm no joke, I match his pace and stay a car length ahead of him, then both of us punch it at what seems to be the exact same time. I get a really good downshift from my car and initially I increase my lead to 1&1/2 car lenghts, we're pulling hard around this final right bend of the road before it gets to a stop light up ahead and as I concentrate on holding my lane I see his headlights slooooowly fading out the corner of my eye in my rear view, we come around the end of the final right bend and my car is gripping as hard as she can and looses it for a split second, I just let the car catch itself hold my lane and brake hard as the street straightens out. Victory. The light ahead turns green so we're able to roll through the silent intersection calmly, he pulls up next to me and goes "damn dude", and I go "yeah" and turn off onto another road...
