How Do U Remove Torque Converter From Flywheel '95 850t

doe anyone know how to remove the torque converter from the flywheel? this is on a '95 850T. i pulled the tranny and cannot get the torque converter off the motor..

also what do u have to do to be able to post in the classifieds?

uhhh u did it work you were supposed to un blot the tq converter from the flywheel before you took the tranny ouy with a 17 mm 12 point socket

I just pulled my engine and transmission together to replace my rear main. You access the torque converter bolts by removing the starter reach through the opening and rotate the crank around and remove each bolt. I think there were 6 on mine and they were torx bolts. Like t-30 or something kinda small. You will have to get the starter out to get to them. No other way that I am aware of. If you need a photo of it let me know, I am putting it all back in tomorrow once I rent a lift.

There is actually another opening you can reach to undo the torque converter - in the area where passenger's side axle enter's tranny.

Yep, I just saw that one as I was dropping my engine back in today. I replaced both halfshaft seals and while working on the passenger side saw that particular opening.

You can see it in this photo of the old seal.

There is also a photo of the starter opening too.
