Newest Addition To The Fleet!

Meet my 1996 850 NA non-glt. I bought her for $500 with a crumpled RF fender, busted tie rod and bent control arm and went to work. I had the fender and the door replaced and painted, the entire RF suspension replaced (mostly with stuff from wrecking yards, except the goods that you just have to buy new), and the rocker panel replaced and painted. There were some other odds and ends like mud flaps and an alignment, but that was most of it. It cost me about $600-700 in parts and $550 in labor for the body shop guys I had do it at the dealership. Total was about $1700 +/- including the car, (I havn't added up the reciepts yet).

The previous owners bought her new at our dealership, and had every single service and repair done with us, on time. According to dealersocket the total is just over $11k that they have spent on her over the years, and I have all the records to prove it! Funny though, I am asking top doller for it on craigslist but people aren't biting much cause it has cloth <_< You would think that people would care more about having a car that is mechanically perfect than one with 11 year old cracked leather?

Edit: at present the fleet consists of two cars :arob:

cloth FTL. so many volvos have leather there is no reason to settle if you are a buyer. plus no sunroof

As crappy as the volvo leather gets no matter how you take care of it, I dont know that fabric would be that bad. It looks very good in that car. Nice find.
