Then I took my new oem bulbs, and lo and behold, they do not fit and harness/plug aint even close. Looks like bulb back shell should be the ground and 12v is spade terminal. I have just started doing cosmetics and detailing, spent much time and money on Stage 0 and performance upgrades so I'm not up on latest in lighting. It is not a rotating plastic housing, it is a metal ring screwed to headlight housing with a spring clip and spade terminal pushed onto an integrated tab. The other wire has a spade terminal that must go to the other side of the filament on the bulb. No 2 pin right angle plug will work here.
