RedTurbo850
Wow I haven't really seen much of the AP Racing kit, it's all Porsche or Stoptech BBKs over here. How much $$ we talking for the AP kit?If you've gotta ask, you probably can't afford. :P
Guest 300+_T5R_855
Last time I checked APs were ~ 2700 which is only a little more than Stoptech, and still 5-6k cheaper than Brembos or AlconsAs I recall the Stoptech's are $1700ish (if you call $1000 a little) for fronts and don't offer a rear kit. I know Steve didn't pay 5 or 6k for his Brembo kit.. For that matter I can put "Brembo's" on all for corners of your 850 for $2700.00 delivered. I thought they were north of 2300. As for brembo I have picked up 3 sets in the last year and every set was 6k+ per axle. Alcons are a little cheaper around 5k

I am pretty sure Doug was selling the Stoptech kits for around $1700.00 per axle, but I don't know which rotor they were offering.I really don't know pricing on either the Brembo or Alcons, but I did just mount a set of Alcons onmy dad's '57 Chevy. leurven
Before Stoptech closed their online store they were selling the front kit for our cars for a little under $2000. $1700 from Doug sounds about right too!

Thats more than I thought. As for Alcon/Brembos most of the set ups are around 5-6k in calipers per axle and another grand or so for rotors.. Of course then you have a system thats performance built for the track and not just something that looks good on the street an does so so on the track
JCviggen
I'd like to see some some actual pricing of AP kits for the 850/x70, on this side of the pond you cant find an AP kit under 3500$ at current exchange rates.
Che'_Moderator
Even Kalmar is a lot cheaper than that.
JCviggen
Even Kalmar is a lot cheaper than that.Still 3000$ including taxes we need to pay...but I cant find them anywhere near that price on the european mainland though, I asked Don about the price more than a year ago i think but never got an answer.RICA wants 4000$ for them http://www.rica.nl/catalog/product_info.ph...;products_id=

JCviggen
No idea...the 993TT Brembo solution is about half price of the APs here but you need to do more stuff yourself, and they dont fit as easily with Volvo wheels.
SkyWriter
are you guys all talking the same number of pistons? 4,6, or 8?

Che'_Moderator
For the APs I have only seen 4pot for Volvo. And 8 is just stupid for anything. As for Alcons and Brembos I was talking about true racing brakesUsually if you shop around you can get those for around 2400 per caliper which is a deal compare to brembos.Alcon also has the Advantage series now. Someone said you can get monoblocks around 900 each which would be a deal and a half!
