B00STWAG1N
ESPN linkbarry bonds breaks hank aarons home run record of 755 career homeruns. with all the dispute about steriods and such(plus baseball is the stuff) i wanted to open the topic up for discussion.i think even if he did take steriods it is an amzing feat and he is a great player no doubt about it. Noahkk19
I dunno, it's not really all about how great he is...As a place in baseball history it is deffinitely tarnished and seems/feels so fake as of now, great feat yes, what it SHOULD be...no, this comming from a baseball playerHank Aaron #

Spoony
Sports stars are assholes. Getting paid big bucks for something they're supposed to love? Brickster151
What a great moment to happen during such a downer season [for the Giants as a team].And an amazing feat for someone who has 1000 more walks than what The Hammer had, and played in not-so-hitter friendly parks his whole career.Go Barry!!!!!!!! POOKDIZZLE
I played college baseball I'm a big guy and I don't care how much steroids I could of taken it wouldn't of helped me hit any better; bottom line you still have to be able to hit the ball If all it took were steroids to be great wouldn't all these jacked up power lifters, wrestlers etc. play baseball. Finish
As long as A-Rod doesn't have a MAJOR career ending injury, he should shatter the record. With this in mind, it doesn't bother me that Bonds is breaking it now. And I am a Red Sox fan.Go patriots....and celts.

The use of steroids to obtain something rather valuable to a sport that many people rely on as entertainment and careers alters the purity of the whole game.Bonds is a douchebag.they've always been paid, the more someone loves the game the more genuine a person they are as when you like the game the money isnt what matters look at other sports ppl like Brett Favre, gets paid alot, but plays the game to have fun. so i dont particularly think that what you said is fair, but, to each his own.now, as a rational thought, baseball has gotten harder since it started. Pitching especially which is why you dont have anymore season batt. avg. of 400. anymore. so the batting game perpetuates the pitching game which admittedly has the advantage. so the fact is that steroids or not being able to take on a record when by proportion was just as easy for Hank when he was playing because pitching did not evolve to where it is now; where batting was not lagging behind pitching. so kudos to both people. Hank for setting the record and Bonds for reaching it.

TM850R
Bonds was always a good player but going from 35-40 homeruns in a single season to 73 is a little out of the ordinary. Yes he always had a good swing, but he was also known for stealing bases. I dont think he is taking roids anymore but there are a couple seasons back around 2000 and 2001 that are unquestionable.
