Bonds 756

Bonds was always a good player but going from 35-40 homeruns in a single season to 73 is a little out of the ordinary. Yes he always had a good swing, but he was also known for stealing bases. I dont think he is taking roids anymore but there are a couple seasons back around 2000 and 2001 that are unquestionable.

not really. he admitted to taking substances that were to his knowledge not steriods. aka steriods.

Only a homo would be thinkin about the guys dick ;)

Were you thinking about his dick?

What I stated was just factual.

"The down side is that drug-taking is dangerous to your physical and mental health as well as to the sporting career of any serious athlete. In men, anabolic steroids cause the testes to shrink, can lower the sperm count (and so affect fertility), and cause impotence (unable to get/sustain an erection), baldness and breast enlargement."

cuold u evenhit a single homerun in GIants stadium? probably not.

Doesn't matter about my skill.

and the year he was taking steriod so was 70percent of the other people in the game, so really it wasnt cheating, he was doing the same thing as everybody else.

So if everybody was jumping off a bridge, he should follow? Just because other people were doing it, doesn't make it right. I guess that never occurred to you.

why dont u try and hit homeruns off a major league pitchesr on balco. its quite difficult i'm assuming.

Again, doesn't matter my skill.

they've always been paid, the more someone loves the game the more genuine a person they are as when you like the game the money isnt what matters look at other sports ppl like Brett Favre, gets paid alot, but plays the game to have fun. so i dont particularly think that what you said is fair, but, to each his own.

I am kind of stereotyping the sports community as a whole but I still hold my accusations that it's all a sick part of society. Sports stars are being paid ridiculous amounts of cash for playing a sport; sponsorships, commercials, tickets, etc. Sports used to be an affordable day away from a depressing life for most people. Now it's turned into a venue that's become so expensive from ticket and food sales and people can't afford it as well. Also, purchasing huge homes, cars, drugs, etc. (the average lavish celebrity lifestyle) is all being funded by the money they *earn* from people who view them as heroes.

Again, I'm being stereotypical but when a sports star abuses a drug to advance himself (even the smallest bit), I take offense. They are no longer playing for the game; they're playing for themselves. It takes one bad apple to spoil a bunch.

point well taken, it IS no secret that franchiseing has made sports what it is today and it is unfortunate. i stopped taking offense to the ppl who take steroids, because they hurt from it in the end... plus they are no different then the peeps driving escakade xl's, excursions, and every other HUGE suv that does nothing to help out fuel economy and i cant be pissed off at them all the time so oh well

Man, tickets in Kansas are too expensive at $32 a pop for box seats. Then again those tickets would be $250 at Fenway...

Seats are crazy expensive, decent beer at the game $8 each, hotdogs $5 each, it's honestly getting out of control; two tickets, drinks and food at the game is obscene today not to mention if you are bringing kids <_< On a ON SUBJECT note however, Barry Bonds until PROVEN guilty of taking performance enhancing drugs is no different than any other player out there ;)
