heifetz17
Would a car that's not equipped with a factory alarm still have an alarm module? The reason I ask is because I just replaced my brake light switch, and I found an alarm module tucked under my dash (where it's supposed to be).I have never been able to get my little red LED to start flashing, and nothing happens when I hold down the panic button, but I can't figure out why I have a module if the car didn't come with an alarm, unless maybe the module is fried, and the alarm just doesn't work?I looked up all the component locations on alldatapro and I'm going to search around and see if I have the sensors. I don't have an alarm horn, but alldata says cars either have a horn on the firewall or a siren behind the fender, but not both. So I'm going to look for the siren. Thanks for any input!Edit: it's a '99 S70. It's the base model, but it has every option and package that was available.
