USSEnterprise
My car is still overboosting after replacing vacuum lines. I removed the heat shield on the back of the engine, and the wastegate seems very sticky. Its hard to move manually, tending to stick in certain places. I sprayed some WD40, which helped, but quickly burned off. What is a more permanent fix to this? Will I have to disassemble the turbo?

Does the wastegate move freely when the rod is not attatched? I had a little problem in these areas in the past. Check these areas first.

Mesoam
take the pin out and take the rod off the actuator see if it moves freely on the actuator side or if its getting hung up on the exhaust housing

When I sprayed WD40 on the lever, it freed it up, but once the WD40 burned off, it got sticky again.
