flyboy
Where is the PCV on a Non-turbo 01 V70. Am I correct in thinking this car has no flame-trap?-Thanks,-Dave
starfish
There is a black plastic box on the engine down by the starter, it's the crankcase ventilation system oil seperator.
flyboy
There is a black plastic box on the engine down by the starter, it's the crankcase ventilation system oil seperator.Do you just check the line to it to make sure it is clear, or do you have to take it apart and clean it? Am I correct no flame trap?-Thanks,Dave
starfish
I have not seen a NA engine with a clogged oil seperater. Is your engine slugged up? Sometimes the box can leak oil or the seals go bad but generally no maintenance required. No, there is no flame trap like on the older models. flyboy
No, no sign of sludge, nore are there any oil leaks. But I had always wondered as it is mentioned in the MX book. Thanks for your help-Dave
