tallahasseegreys
OK, so it's hot as a mutha here in houston, and humid as hell also. My ac has recently started to not cool as well. The drivers side gets colder than the passenger side. Also, the passenger side vents emit some kind of vapor, i guess water vapor. The amount of vapor seems proportional to the humidity outside.I charged the r134a yesterday. Both sides are much cooler, but drivers side still a bit cooler. It was raining and hot this morning, and the vapor was coming out of both sides. But especially the passengers side. I mean it was just streaming out!Isn't there some part of the ac system that is supposed to remove the water vapor from the air? Is this part of my system not working correctly? Or is that r134a coming out.Thanks.

matt b
Also got mine recharged over the weekend and had the same issue for 5 hours in the car coming back, after hitting patches where it was very humid (like after a rainstorm, etc...)Not a big deal, just tell passengers it's probably some of the anthrax you hide underneath the dash. matt b
You drove 5 hours to get your a/c recharged Drove back 5 hours AFTER having my AC recharged. Visiting my in-laws was the reason I drove 5 hours. The car was dropped off at the dealer that used to service it when they had the car, since the same old mechanic has known the car forever. He enjoyed the 5 speed and called me nuts when he popped the hood. He botched an AC repair last year, so he fixed it last week.Reading FTW Adam.... 7 VII 7
its normal for this to happen in humid weather... basically its cold air meeting warm air...its SCIENCE!!
Gilhuly
It is external humid air condensing. Put the air mix on minimal to recirculate as much of the already dried air as possible.
TM850R
Anyone have this happen in a car that has a cabin air filter? The only time I have ever had this happen was in my R as the A/C blew out.
