heifetz17
My passenger side wiper works fine. My driver side will go half way up and stick there. I have to let the car sit off for about 20 minutes, and upon turning the car on, the wiper will return to it's down position. It then won't work at all unless it sits for another 20 minutes, then it will just go half way up again. It just repeats this pattern.I took the wiper motor apart today and reassembled it (it was clean and everything looked good inside), and upon plugging it in and turning the car on, the motor just runs constantly with the ignition on. Also, after putting everything back together, the left motor constantly runs, and the right motor now does exactly what the left one did, getting stuck half way up, etc. What's going on? I'm not convinced the motors are bad because they still move, but what's going on? Thanks in advance.
dmelviØØ7
I would say that you need 2 new motors.
heifetz17
Thanks. That's kinda what I'm thinking too. Any other ideas before I price out a couple motors?
dmelviØØ7
Just unplug them and rest the arms to the rest position. They are pretty useless IMO
heifetz17
That's what I did for now. I used them a lot last winter. They worked great for clearing sludge off my lights.
