gepple
I have put more money into my S80 and it still isn't right. The check engine light has been coming on and my mechanic has given me a few codes (Throtle trim code, engine evap. O2 sensors ) that show up, but the problem doesn't seem to go away. Each time I take the car the computer says it's a different code than the previous time. Any suggestions. I wanted to put money into my car for performance and modification parts, not on simply keeping the car running.

ViperVette
:( The only people they should be able to sell 99 and 00 S80s to are Volvo Techs. I'm sorry you didn't check here prior to purchasing it everyone would've told you.

Ask the guy at the counter to read your CEL codes and they'll do it for free. Do you need a specific reader or can the same reader my dad plug into his Ford and Chevy's read a Volvo too? starfish
The problem seems to be an inexperienced mechanic and not a faulty vehicle. Paying to have your car repaired by an knowledgeble technician will be a lot cheaper than paying for the education of the mechanic first.
smokin' T5M
I agree go to Auto Zone if you can't get a friend in a dealer to pull codes with VIDA.
