Fmic Complete

My FMIC project is complete. All it needs now is to be powder coated and I'm done! I'll be putting my fogs and side bumper cover grilles back in once I get a new set of fogs.

I am using a 22"x8"x3.5" core with overall length of 28". Passenger side tubing is 2.25" aluminum with a metal diameter increase to 2.5" toward the bottom of the car where it makes a u-bend into the intercooler. Entire drivers side is 2.5" aluminum and connects directly to the OEM plastic tube that connects to the throttle body. Complete system was very easy to install. I used a total of 4 Samco Silicone couplers and 1 Samco Silicone reducer off of the turbo. The only change I may make is to find a 6" tall intercooler with the other dimensions the same just so it doesn't sit so low and I can potentially put the OEM splash guard back on. No cutting or modification to the car was required other than two holes in the front chassis brace to mount the intercooler to. The other modification was to the replaceable throttle body plastic tube. Other than that everything fit perfectly the way I wanted it - my goal was to keep it as OEM looking as possible.

Many thanks to CJ Yother for all his hard work and time into this. www.area510.net.

Looks great, but damn, that thing hangs low. Did you go for a 'name-brand' core, or something else?

It's a no-name intercooler. I'm looking at the Bell Intercoolers but the price is much higher. The 19t turbo will never max out the CFM rate (600 cfm) of the intercooler I have bought.
