No didn't need to do anything. We did move the bracket a little that holds the AC canister but that was when we were trying to use 2.5". It would not be necessary now. I'll post up some more pictures later tonight.

I must have some kind of wierd canister, there is about 1 and 1/2 inch between my canister and the subframe. There was no way to go around it.

I still don't understand why you haven't moved the intercooler up. :monkey:

I don't feel like hacking my front end chassis up. I'd rather pay to buy the correct size that do something irreversable and potentially weakening to my car. That is the only chassis piece in the front of the car hold the two sides together.

Irreversable? Not really, it can technically be welded back.. Weakening? Where did I weaken it?

Technically speaking removing that lip did weaken the structure.

The 350 hp Precision intercooler I'm using sits just above the bottom of the bumper (meaning I THINK the skid plate may be able to fit back on) and didn't require cutting anything to fit.

What dimesions is it and where did you get it?

apparently they're extremely well designed. The shop I installed it at had a 600 hp beast civic that had the next size up precision unit. They originally had a generic ebay intercooler on the car and it made around 550 to the wheels, swapped the intercooler for the Prcision model that had the identical dimensions and it made over 60 more hp just from that.

All that being said, I'm sure with the lower HP levels most of us are making, the difference between generic and name brand probably won't make as much of a difference but I'm wanting mine to take me as far as the rods in my engine will allow.

Mark I believe is using the next size up precision model and didn't have any problems if I recall.
