jbilyeu Posted August 28, 2007 Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 so i turned off the factory head unit as it was ejecting a c.d. and now it is lodged in the deck. no part of the c.d. is visible or possible to get a hold off. the deck plays radio as if there were no disk in however the eject function is running the whole time and no disk comes out.i've thought about disconnecting the battery and then reconecting it hoping that the deck will re-start in normal operation after the code is entered...does any one have any experiece with this problem?this is on the 97 850 it's the sc815 head unit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jbilyeu Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 this is how i fixed the issue:with the power off1 remove radio from dash but leave it connected2 remove two screws on top of radio, then slide top plate rearward then lift plate off3 rotate white nylon (plastic) gears untill c.d. shuttle moves upward fully4 POWER ON THE RADIO...press eject. the c.d. will now come out however if you put it back in it will not play.5 with the c.d. removed and the key in the off position disconect the car battery; this will reset the deck so it will play again6 enter security code for radio7 reinstall plate8 reinstall radio Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
