DC-10 Captain
A sad day for my 1998 V70 wagon--got into an accident, and it is now totaled and in a junk yard. I am very adamant about driving a stick, and I found a 2001 V70 with the 5pseed manual, but I've heard very negative things about this changeover year..I was under the impression that the engine/drivetrain are the same as the earlier V70s? Truth be told, I have only heard bad things about the auto transmissions. My 98 5peed continued to do me well through 182K..Any thoughts on the 5-speed manual? 2001T5
I think most of the tranny problems with this year are on the geartronics, not the manuals.
Dmsee
Manual is away more reliable than Automatic in early year models
