Bazarvospeed Posted September 2, 2007 Report Share Posted September 2, 2007 I just unloaded the car and came back out to try to open the gate....now it wont open. I can tell the lock actuator is working , but the latch that actually lets the gate swing open is broken or stuck. now I can't open thegate whats so ever. is there a way to open the gate or take off the panels surrounding the gate so I can pry a latch to get the gate to open at least to service it? and no theres no jacket or some sort stuck like posted in the previous postings Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bazarvospeed Posted September 2, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 2, 2007 5 mins after posting this thread , and frustrated as hell.... i told myself to quit being a pu**Y and git out there and beat on the gate! got it open by bangin the inside of the gate....got it open. but while I was looking inside the locking system/latch....I noticed these " clips " everyone keeps mentioning in the wagon tailgate threads ( i do my research b4 posting here on VS ) these black peices of broken plastic were inside of the latching system. I'm guessing this is what is causing the problem with the other fellow wagoneers....maybe this thread will help out the other VS'rs with wagons and finnally get an answerto what the hell is goin on. I guess you just gotta bang the hell outta the gate to get it open and clean dem plastics peices out. my gate is working the way it should as I opened the gate about 20 times to ennsure it works again.
