ovlov780t
Hi all. as some as you know I have a mildly modded c70. Ive noticed that my audio state isnt what it used to be. As it stands, my driver side midrange speaker has no sound, and my passenger side low range speaker has a bit of a baffle when the bass drops. What I need to know.1) should I just go aftermarket in the front doors? (if so, what should I put in there [sizes,brand])2) If I replace with stock speakers, does anyone have part numbers and suchthanx in advance-Chris
viperman135
I don't know anything about speakers but I do know about taking apart the door. My window switch went out last month and I had to replace it. When you take off the cover part of the door your going to break several small plastic clip things. Taking the speaker out is easy looks like there are only 2 or 3 screws. Here are the part numbers of the plastic things your going to need and how many.1379804 1x blue plastic thing that torx screw goes into8611997 3x white or green 4 prong clip things39964090 6x black plastic push ping thingsThose are the basics and going to run you $8-10 bucks max. But if you want your door to fit and not make noise look into those parts.

daikon
I just pulled both midranges from my C70 if you want them (for free, you pay shipping if you really want them). I'd recommend just installing the infinity kappas (32.12cf). They sound awesome and help bring up the lame mids and highs. Great fit, although, instead of the crappy single use welds, I just used two screws to mount. No idea about the bass speaker, but i've heard that the kicker 8" woofer fits. C70drvr
Anyone have any sources on replacement speakers for the dash? My top driver's side one stopped working the other day, and the centre speaker hasn't worked in over a year :/

My top driver's side one stopped working the other day, and the centre speaker hasn't worked in over a year :/I got my center channel from the dealer (boston volvo) for $98. There is no aftermarket replacement. I don't remember about the dash tweeters though. They're pretty easy to get out if you just want to scope it out. Just pop off the tweeter cover and undo the two screws.

ovlov780t
So, from what I gather, the front and rear subs are different. So, my next question is what is a good and flawless upgrade for all the subs. DOORS AND DECK... meaning something that will fit and sound good. THanx again.
