S60RDUDE
What do you guys think of the 280MM Zimmerman drilled rotors? They have them at FCP here RotorsI know I know should do a big break kit but its not worth it to me.... yet.
Mike_P
I'd just get the solid rotors, that's just me though. The drilled rotors are probably fine, but I doubt you will notice much difference other than noise - drilled tend to make more than solid

They looked cool and probably dissipated the heat better and allowed for better braking. They lasted until my sister started driving the car and warped them .Decent upgrade though

I don't think it helps that much.. I am just doing replacement of rotors and want a good reliable pad that does not throw out a ton of break dust. jdlc
With that wheels, I would go for it, they do look good. I actually went further and got me silver plated drilled and slotted rotors all around and they look awesome on our V70 NA, now w/ 16" Solar. Used to have 17" Moda R2 which is similar to Comets 17" in terms of inside-wheels visibility. I got it from eBAY from Race4 something from California. Noisy as hell but the braking improvement is stellar. So they eat the pads but I don't care since I got me life-time warranty pads from Autozone. I have ceramic pads in our Expedition and I can say that it just doesn't have the same bite as semi-metallic, although they make less dust and not as dark which is why I went for it since I have 22" chrome on our lowered Expy. Of course ceramic pads may not me created equal, but I installed really good ones in our Expedition which cost 3x as much as what I have in our V70. So go for it man!My wheels are 100% clean all the time.. that includes the inside of the rim. I love my comets.I did speak to FCP Groton they recommended Akebono Euro Ceramics pads.. Big Will
I drive my car pretty hard and have the Zimmerman X-drilled rotors on it in the 280 mm size. I feel it was an improvement mated to ceramic pads. They take a couple minutes to heat up in the morning but once they are, the bite is better. They've been on my car 25,000 miles and the rotors just needed re-surfacing. So IMHO, a worthwhile upgrade.
7 VII 7
what is the average cost to have rotors re-surfaced at a shop?
