so if I wanted to paint something on my car.... would I need Primer, Basecoat, then clearcaot?

do they sell wheel paint?

If you wanted to fix the side of your car: it's be too big to look decent with a spray can. Trim pieces, handles, wipers are fine, anything larger and it's almost impossible to make it look OEM without having a very good hand.

i got a pack from my volvo dealer of my volvo paint and a clear coat for like $12 in the spray can

twice....

and i painted my eyebrows with them, and they came out very nicely

hmm...well I would goto the stealership but I doubt they would have my color in stock

then I can see them coming up with some insanely expensive price for it.

I'm going to go w/ paintscratch.com. I'll post finish product when I'm done with the "project" :)

Most dealers only stock very common colors, black, white silver. It shouldn't be more than $13 for a 150mL can, a regualr size can is 400mL and not available in your color. I looked it up last week for some weird reason. At least a dealer can have it next day if you order it early enough.

I think you can, just watch for orange peel and make sure to wetsand the paint before applying the clear coat. I just don't think Dave can, no matter how much of the process is explained to him first.

I am sorry I could not find the paint for the wheels.... ?

Well when I go to work at the dealer today, I will take a look through my Volvo Chemicals Book and see if I can get you a pert number.

the problem i had with colors is that my paint has faded over time....so when i got #601 classic red it was brighter than my red

just something to think about

I think red is the most difficult Volvo paint to maintain. But that's a good point, most of our vehicles are showing signs of fading.
