House on the market bank-owned foreclosure, back when the tax credit was available, I was their only reasonable offer, my final offer was ~8% of their original asking price. It's been on the market almost 90 days with no serious offers that we know of. They finally lower it..... by only 5%. I make the same final at the same price point again, now only ~3% of what they are asking. ... They fucking counter offered $300 higher. And we wonder how the banks failed. They're obviously trying to maximize their return knowing that I probably won't walk away over $300, but I feel like they slapped me in the face. My buddy is currently buying a bank owned home and has been delayed 4 months now because of the bank. It's been an absolute nightmare, good luck. Because it was a foreclosure, the lender has required a bunch of tests and the house failed someone of them. In order for them to get in the house and repair the issues, the bank has to give them written consent, which they take forever to do.
