Fudge_Brownie
14 oxycodone a day is upsetting on the stomach. pain go away! The irony, pain killers inducing pain. I find tums help. However, maybe I'm crazy, but also seems to slow down the release? Guessing reduced stomach acid. HTF did you end up with 14 a day.

Fudge_Brownie
dude, thats a ton. depends on the mg and his tollerance. If it's 5mg, that's 70mg. Divide by 3 doses a day, that's 23mg/dose. What I'm confused about is why they are in such high quantity and not just higher milligram doses. And how any doc wrote him for like 100+ quantity. Fudge_Brownie
Speaking of drugs, I has a cold and since it's cold season, FYI: Most OTC drugs for colds had psuedoephedrine in them. Various formulas of NyQuil/Dayquil, Sudafed, etc You know, the good stuff that makes that drain clog in your nose flow like hot oil, and gets rid of the stuffy feeling all over your face. Thanks to meth heads, it's not in most (truely) OTC formulas They substituded with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenylephrine It's fucking gay and useless IMO. Buuuut, the good stuff is still available 'behind the counter' if you ask for it and you have an ID. So don't waste your time and money on the crap, go to the counter. And for those of you who don't know, Nyquil and those kinda products are just a bunch of other drugs shoved in to one liquid or pill. Because of this "behind the counter" crap, you might just be able to buy psuedophed alone, without any other stuff. Just go take a look at a Nyquil box and see what else is in it and get the missing ingredients. Usually acetomenephin (aka tylenol), dxm (aka Robotussin, for cough), guafanessin (aka musinex, gets rid of the shit in your throat), and possibly a sleed aid (see sleeping pill isle). Don't forget you don't want to mix Phenyledphrine and Psuedoped, and there's a reason it's in meth... so don't take it before bed. [bTW, I murdered some spelling... I'm not taking the time to fix all of it] And if you need help or want to make sure the handful of pills you just bought won't put you in a dirt nap, ask the pharmacist if you're doing it right.
(n)A-GAME
you just found that out?
Fudge_Brownie
you just found that out? About the psuedophed, no I found out last year. Maybe I'm behind the times? Either way, still wanted to share. Most people I know don't know about this, or know the difference. Hell, while I'm doing a PSA, I still see lots of people buying brand name OTC pills. Never understood why. Pretty much alllllll that stuff is available as store brand, it's exactly the same thing (FDA says it must be) and is usually more than half the price. Read the box, find the active ingredient and then look for the knock-off.
(n)A-GAME
I meant more about asking behind the counter. Michigan got one of the meth registry programs last year, you're only allowed to buy a certain amount of the "good stuff" every day. You have to sign your name in the registry each time you buy a pack of Mucinex. Annoying, but probably a good thing.

I am amused you have to fill out paper work and present ID to get sudafed but you can pickup a Vicodin prescription with a name and address. In RI and MA you need an ID for controlled substances, and you sign.
Keep Calm Chive On
little fun fact for ya... ive been on & off surgery boy for about 7 years now & to reduce my intake of narcotic painkillers they prescribed me with some kinda of low dose antihistamine. Im not saying go get some of them but it made 1 vicodin work like 2... i took 2 & i was sweet... then tolerance built up. Dont go out gettin antihisamines & shit but as your doctor if theres anyway you can still have the effects of 2 vicodin without taking 2 vicodin. you need to make it sound smarter than that otherwise they might think your a crack head. If you take pepto or tums prior to the vicodin it will sorta wait there until it goes in your system it will delay the intake of it. Tylenol shouldnt be fucking up your stomach as much as your liver. Advil or anything like it fucks your stomach up because its very harsh on your stomach lining. Perhaps you were like me & ate a bottle a week because of the pain then did some damage & now you have a sensitive stomach. after that i switched to tylenol on the regular so now im blessed with a fucked up stomach & a fucked up liver :P

If they're in pain and the stuff provided isn't enough, that discussion will happen. Rather than asking your doctor for something specific, best to explain that a problem still occurs and ask about ideas on how to fix it.
