Fudge_Brownie
wow this itouch is a pain in the ass... 2nd digitizer still wont work....wtf Describe what's up. My brother repairs apple devices as a side-job, learned a lot over time. Maybe he'll have some suggestions? I guess history/symptoms. You get 100% (or partial) response from the touch screen, you replace digitizer, you get same or different symtoms? I know everyone here has had one of those moments involving some motivation, power tools, a "Get it done" attitude, and all you can think is "this can't possibly end well". Having one of those moments right now Speaking of my brother, he called me earlier asking my opinion of a Ford Focus he found for sale. 4spd stick shift, clutch just replaced, 2003, 103k, asking $3200. I told him too high, and especially for a Focus that late in their life. Any opinions? I feel like the Focus is just like most lower priced American cars. Most don't see 150k miles, and I think a lot of that has to do with cheap parts, cheap build quality, and body rot. Never liked the focuses, and suggested that for that price range/age/miles he'd be safer with something like a corolla. He did say it drove solid and didn't expect it to need much suspension/steering work.

You end up with this second hand? Curious how come you don't know when it got wet. Could be mobo's connection to the digitizer is bad. Try reseating the connection several times, as the contacts are very small and could easily become blocked by corrotion, or laundry detergent Either way, I'll run it by my brother. Pretty sure he's used ebay digitizers in the past with success but I might be wrong. In related, disappointing news, my trusty 4G 40gig that I've had for 5 years and successfully gotten out of many stuck hard drive heads by bashing the piss out of it on my dashboard in a fit of rage (I'm amazed the HDD isn't dead yet ) finally ate it. The HDD still seems good, but all the data is gone. Thing reads like a blank slate. No idea what happened either, no problems in a long while. I'm guessing corrupt master boot record? But I dunno how to easily fixmbr an ipod.
